Evan Preston

Evan Preston, Program Director.

Evan Preston is currently transitioning into his new role as the Program Director of Fair Share. Previously, he was the State Director of ConnPIRG, where he was responsible for program and organizational development, research, and legislative advocacy for the organization. He also ran a citizen outreach office in New Haven, recruiting and training over 100 staff. Evan got his start organizing with OSPIRG, training hundreds of youth in skills essential for citizenship such as public speaking, working with the media, meeting with elected officials, and learning how to help register voters. Originally from rural central Illinois, Evan graduated with an honors degree in History from Pomona College in 2012. While at Pomona College, Evan led a student-directed non-profit, Challah for Hunger, focusing on advocacy and fundraising to reduce local childhood hunger.
